The Trade Desk called on Hit Play to create an immersive brand experience to launch Kokai, the biggest upgrade to their media buying platform in the company’s history. The launch event took place in Manhattan’s cultural center, the Shed. From the registration experience to general session, and around every corner The Trade Desk’s brand enveloped the 300 media, clients and partners in attendance.
The general session stage was wrapped by a sleek, seven panel LED backdrop that seamlessly fit into the modern environment of the venue. Custom motion graphics were created to fill the existing LED walls throughout the space, delivering an artistic representation of the brand. An existing 30” glass wall was outfitted with a vinyl wrap and uplit to create continuity for the pastel gradient aesthetic throughout the space. A custom eight panel LED lenticular tunnel brought attendees into the reception area that was set with white modern furniture, custom printed columns and a digital bar back wall. As a final brand moment, a 360° photo booth allowed attendees to capture the moment within the hexagonal lightbox frame, before heading on their way. Hit Play managed all production aspects of the product launch, while balancing the hustle and bustle of the New York working environment.
From the logistical dance of loading in and out a series of trucks in Manhattan, (which also needed to be downsized when transferring from New Jersey into New York), to permitting and management of union relationships, Hit Play executed the day flawlessly.
